A soil sensor reads what the plant needs, and Toko translates that into simple signals your child can notice and respond to, turning invisible plant care into something they can see, hear, and act on.

The included sensor sits in the soil and reads things like moisture, light, and warmth. Toko uses those readings to know when your plant needs water or attention, then lets your child know it's time to help.

Toko is designed to work with the plant your family already has. No special pot or specific species is required. When you set up Toko, you tell it what you're growing through the app, so it knows what that plant needs.

Toko is designed for children ages 5 and up.

Each kit includes the Toko companion and one soil sensor.

No. The day-to-day experience of caring for your plant with Toko doesn't require a screen. The companion app is included at no extra cost, and it's there for parents to set things up and keep an eye on how it's going.
